So i have TS downloaded on my machine. When i have eq running, i have sound.Soon as I open TS i have sound and can hear TS for all of maybe 10-15 seconds before it kills the sound on my whole system. If i reboot the sound comes back but soon as TS loads up it happens again. i have it all set up just like before but i dunno what the problem is since i just got a new motherboard and cpu. Do i need a new install of TS maybe ? I have my settings for input and output to realtek HD audio input/output. The only other option is Primary sound capture which i dont thinkj is what i use.

It could be a conflict with EQ sound. If you are using standard on-board sound it might not be able to handle all that. Not sure if EQ has a button to just turn sound off all together, I know they have the volume control. Also you could try to do some updates for it. I would try a couple things to see if it would bug out, run a media player in the background with music playing, then run eq see if you can hear both sounds. See what the sound card does.

i put a cd in my whatever drive that is and opened media player and had eq running before i did that. I turned on the toons then tabbed out to eq and could hear both working. Now i only let it run for a short time but i definately could hear them both. Gonna retry it for a longer duration and see what happens

So i had the cd in D drive i think it was and eq running for 3-4 mins and all was good as long as i let the tune play. Soon as i tried to click another toon media player froze up and i had to ctrl/alt/delete to shut it down. I dunno if that would have anything to do with TS tho.

Are you using onboard sound from your motherboard or do you have a sound card actually installed?

If you have a sound card installed, go into the BIOS and make sure you have the onboard sound disabled. Leaving that enabled with another sound card installed will usually cause odd problems.

Install the newest sound drivers.

It could possibly be a setup in TS, I haven't used it in quite a while, but I remember you can set up a hotkey to allow to talk. It could be an issue with that. Not sure if you had it set up to pick up when you speak or with a button. I would try both ways to see if one way allows it to stay on longer.
