Hey people. It was a blast playing with all the old fubies, from what I do remember anyway. I remember almost every raid telling myself I won't do it again! I won't do it again! only to wake up cursing at myself next to the ledge in ToV among many other places. I'm amazed that much time has passed. It's not easy to keep a great group of successful players together and happy, yet Pouty did. I remember the first raid I got invited to. I have no idea why Pouty sent me a tell, but he asked if I wanted to kill the boss that dropped that awesome self invising breastplate. Anybody who played a warrior knows how beneficial this would be. Anyway from then on Pouty kept inviting me for that world dragon in the dreadlands, zland and many other bosses. This is where my addiction to sleep started. I have no idea why I wasn't kicked, but I am thankful to have been able to play with such a great group of people.
Thanks

To paraphrase Magic:
One day, Club FU will come up in a conversation, and I'll be able to say I was there.
Single-grouping the giants in SolB. Damn we were mighty. (And Pand got a melee kill on one of them =)
So I logged in yesterday after a full 3 year uhh... break. That long? The client says so.
Bristlebane looks like zombieland, the channels are silent, CFU is history.
Wow.
Best of luck to Pouty and the rest of the gang, whereever you may end up.
(I so miss my clerics =)
It's a real pity, too. The last dozen MMOs have turned into an amorphous soup of sameness, all courting the almighty Casual Player.
(low playtime / server load, no need for advanced content or game depth)
There's just nothing else with the same magnitude of... stuff you can do. Thinking stuff that doesn't require split-second reactions like the clickfests that the "modern" MMOs have become.
I'll be goofing around in EQ but there's no way in hell I could manage the playtime and schedule required for a raid guild. |

Hey I remember you Indi and leaving a corpse in every zone, and /consenting people.
You said it best, Pouty (Pete), was FU! I joined in POP, but had always known people in FU. I always loved how when we invited new people the guild they were greeted with FU! ... Pouty's epic pulls, Castiran's ... pallyness... Tulaz's Bardage... Tulkor's Shamanism... Engell's Gigantic ass... Merci's EBILNESS... Umm yeah thats pretty much all i can think of right now.. Sad to see Fu go, but good to see the members carry on the birthchild of CLUB FU! |

Great summary Indy, tears to my eyes. Amazing that after so many years absent from ClubFU that nearly every poster is familar to me. Odd that an online gaming environment made so many lasting bonds and impressions. I suppose it was the tremendous force of will that kept us all together, transcending the odds and all the drama (wow was there a lot of drama). Cheers to you Pouty, for creating a family from so many of us misfit toys. Cheers to all of you my friends whom I've thought of and missed many times. Our achievements may have been intangible but the memories last forever.
Thank you all,

Hey Laho~! Miss you too!
I'm just back from a 3,700 mile motorcycle trip to Maine to visit family and friends there, and getting ready to hire a POD to move my stuff to Long Beach, CA while I ride my motorcycle that way. Good Times!
Feel free to look me up on Facebook -

Wow, it's been a long time. i haven't played EQ in almost 2 years now, been playing DDO for the last year, with a few old Fu's. Cbus, illiana, Tulkor, Celena, Sycatic.
Skyia, when are you moving to Cali? Long Beach isn't all that far from illi and I. _________________

Hi all. Im also on DDO for the time being; have been for some time. If you guys have any questions or need any help with it let me know. Its not always as transparent as it could be mechanically speaking. Id be glad to help anyone from here, or could just say hi. Same for anyone else from the guild should they wind up there. PM here works to start, and can go from there.
Its been a long, long time, but I still lurk here on occasion. While it was often bittersweet for me its something Ill never forget and will always fondly remember. Thanks to everyone for making it a home. Cheers. _________________ Lofwyr - Club Fu - Bristlebane |

Awh. It was sad to see this thread, yet it was nice to see a few names of people I simply adored and cherished. Fu had a long and great run, and I am proud to have been a part of that. though it became a bit to much of a commitment for me I'm still glad I got to meet some great people while there...! Take care in everything you guys do, what ever paths you all take in the gaming world. There will definitely never be another guild leader like Pouty, and the BSCS is long gone, but the memories will always remain. ^^ _________________ Pasty h8ter extrodanaire.
